That’s why we are so grateful to partner with SHINE, a nonprofit dedicated to equipping and empowering single moms through meaningful community and practical support. SHINE’s mission is simple and powerful: to create a community for single moms, equipping them to lead their families toward wholeness.
The Heart Behind SHINE
SHINE began with one single mom’s story, one filled with uncertainty, grief, resilience, and ultimately, hope. In a season where everything felt like a question mark, she discovered that community was the lifeline she needed. Real, honest, “show up for you” community. The kind that listens, prays, laughs, tells the truth, and walks through the hard moments together.
In that circle of support, she found answers to questions she didn’t know how to ask, strength she didn’t know she had, and a reminder that God often shows His love through people. That experience planted a seed that has since grown into SHINE, a community where single moms are seen, valued, and supported as they grow in faith, strengthen their families, and build stability.

This December, Living Well is collecting donations to bless the moms served by SHINE. These simple gifts offer comfort, encouragement, and a reminder that someone is thinking of them.
