Amy Waters Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Tyler Texas

Heather believes all people are created in the imago Dei, image of God, and have incredible worth and value. She is filled with hope for her clients as they grapple with the pain and suffering they are experiencing as they await the time when all things will be made new. She desires to be a conduit in which healing would pass through her life and experience in a way that benefits and brings hope, health and restoration to those she counsels.

Life is meant for adventure, and that should primarily occur outside of the counseling office. Heather often uses a Brief, Solution-Focused approach to heal quickly. However, she has learned the importance of creating the time and space for deep work for those who want to experience higher levels of integration of the mind, body, and soul.

Heather prefers to be out-of-doors whenever possible. Research has shown that walking in nature can have beneficial mental health effects on the brain and body. She offers Walk and Talk Therapy to those interested in this counseling modality.

In her work with trauma survivors, she has become passionate about Somatic and Attachment-Focused EMDR therapy as she has watched countless clients heal from anxiety, panic disorders, depression, complicated grief, health issues, and body image. Her focus is on creating a safe therapeutic space filled with compassion and understanding of the past to heal in the present so her clients can move fully into their future.

Heather Hall has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas since 2000. As a native Texan, she attended Baylor University, earning a BS in Health Science and an M.Ed. in Health Education. She went on to pursue an MA in Counseling from Stephen F. Austin University. Heather is an EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist and Consultant-in-Training. Her great pleasures include her family, gardening, hiking, and hammocking with a book.
