Julie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has counseled in Christian settings for over ten years. She has a heart for helping the hurting find healing in their relationship to God, self, and others. Whatever the reason for your current struggle, Julie wants you to know that there is hope for you!
Julie’s approach to counseling is distinctly Christian, incorporating Biblical principles and prayer in every session. She has experience helping teens and adults find healing from depression, anxiety, relational boundaries, self-harm, spiritual crisis, anger, divorce, trauma, grief and loss, unwanted habits, disordered eating, and marital problems. She has also worked with missionaries struggling through reentry, and premarital couples looking to build a lasting foundation. She is Prepare/Enrich certified to offer premarital couples a waiver for their marriage license and to help married couples get back on track.
Julie received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is a certified pastoral counselor and is EMDR certified. Julie lives with her husband and their three children, whom she homeschools part-time. Julie enjoys running, quiet afternoons at home, and date nights with her hubby or girlfriends.
