Kami considers the decision to pursue counseling as courageous and is honored to walk alongside others as they overcome hardship, and find clarity, healing, and a greater sense of overall health and well-being. Kami believes every individual is uniquely created by God, mind, body, and soul. Because of this, she takes both an individualized and holistic approach to each client’s care. She understands trust is a vital part of the therapeutic relationship and is dedicated to providing a safe place for every client.
Kami fully believes every client has the potential to thrive and works diligently with each client to reach their goals. This is best accomplished through discovering foundational causes that lead to present distress while engaging the mind, body, and emotions in therapy. She works extensively with trauma, grief, chronic stress and anxiety, depression, and challenging relationships.
Kami received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Hardin Simmons University and a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She is trained in EMDR and is working on her CMHIMP certification for the integration of nutrition in counseling. Kami is married and has two rambunctious boys keeping her on her toes and on her knees. Whether in the office, at her boys’ activities, or in a store, you will find Kami in a heart-to-heart conversation with someone around her. She is passionate about the hearts of others and loves seeing people find a deeper sense of purpose and passion for living.
